This 4GB iPod Nano is the latest iteration in Apple's very successful line of MP3 players. Obviously, improvements have been made along the way and this time there is the inclusion of video playback capability. For a 2" screen, the quality of the resolution is very clear and pin-sharp, enabling you to download and watch your favourite films, TV shows or video podcasts wherever you go.

The 4GB version is now the entry level model, boosted from the last generation's previous 2GB, in part due to the storage required for video playback.

On the audio side of things, the useful coverflow feature is a welcome addition, enabling you to quickly spin through all your album covers and select what you want to listen to. The overall look and feel of this version, from the smaller and thinner, but wider, form factor and the software upgrade, is much better than it's previous counterpart.

The only criticism that I would have on this is the overall volume level, which appears to be a lot quieter than the 2nd generation model, which in turn is not as loud as the iPod Classic.

Overall, it is a very nice piece of kit.
