I didn't like the 2nd gen nano because it could play my cherished videos, i was on budget and did not want to pay 200+ pounds on a classic so I was pleasantly surprised when the new gen of nano came out. It holds all of the classic functionalities of ipod with the touch scroll wheel. with a better size and stronger case the new nano can take wear and tear of student life. However the split screen function on the menue can be a little annoying when browsing the menue trees. With a healthy 2 inch screen i have no problems uploading my movies and with a healthy 4 gb memory, for a specific listener that is an optimal size, overall the new nano hold no problems of the old one, i think, but with no direct video insertion (on itunes) the nano cannot come into its own niche.
good for any frequent listener or podcast viewer Highly recommend.
