Advantages: Simple to use, great features, realistic price tag, fun fun fun!

Disadvantages: None I can think of, except becoming lonely

What can I say that hasn't already been said... Lots actually! I was the last person in my house to get an ipod. The kids got em last year, my wife got one for her birthday... I felt left out, so I bought one on holiday this year. Fantastic bit of kit it is too. I love the thought of having the ability to put all my favorite musical genres into a tiny jukebox and blast them out through my skull and, as it happens my car stereo!
I love the idea of clearing out last months musical delights, only to replace them with an even more eclectic mix of music the next month. I find it quite liberating.
The ipod itself is simple to use, with some great built in features; like games, quizzes, graphic EQ, oh, and then there's the musical storage capacity.
All in all, just like my mobile telephone... How did I ever do without it before.

Summary: One of the best inventions since the games console (nearly)
