I think the only problem with ipods is that they freeze sometimes for no reason. I think this is a fault with all ipods, as myself and my boyfriend have had a number of ipods between us, and it has happened with all of them. Like other ipods, this ipod has frozen a couple of times where you have to wait for the battery to die before recharging again.

It's 4 GB, which basically means you're looking at about 1,000 songs. I've tended to use my for TV episodes, and as they are bigger you can't get as many on there. But due to a good size of screen, it's actually fairly good to watch TV on. I commute every day on the train, and it's a nice variety to be able to change between music and TV/film. I've also loaded up holiday photos, which is good, and I can show people all my holiday snaps!!!!

Size wise, it's about 6cm long. It's not quite as thin as the old nano, but it's more square - but like most of the ipods on the market - it's still pretty small!

When I bought mine, I think I paid about £120, but have noticed them come down in price - so I think you should be looking to pay £80-£100. They are quite durable, so although there are ipod protectors on the market, I've had mine for quite a long time, and am yet to see a scratch on it. I bought the silver one, so I'm not sure if having a silver one is less easily scratched?

Other than that the ipod is attractive, small, and holds a good number of songs. You can also hold photos, especially as the screen is a good size. There are the typical games, etc like other ipods. The battery life is good, although the speakers were a bit flimsy and one headphone broke, so I did have to replace the headphones for a better pair. I know that ipods are fairly expensive, but I couldn't do without mine. Very very impressed
