Advantages: Video quality, ease of use
Disadvantages: When video is involved you may want to upgrade to the 8gb version
When this IPOD came out I had to have it! Even if it didnt live up to half of the promises on the adverts this would still be an impressive piece of kit!
Music, video, podasts the lot all this and it fits in your pocket (without making it look like you are carrying around a DVD case in there!)
The video is the real seller for this product. The screen provides amazing quality from all angles, so if you tilt it you can still see it from the same quality. Also there is room enough on the IPOD to fit at least three motion feature length films meaning no more boring train/plane journeys!
The usual music playback features are included and enhanced with customisable menus and an album cover search facility. The advertised size of 4gb is slightly off because when you receive yours it will have roughly 3.8gb of space due to the programs and features already installed but barring this, this is an amazing product that Apple should be proud of as it really shows how far they have come.
Summary: An IPOD that could last you a lifetime

- 25/01/09 My iPod last a couple of weeks before it had to be returned. Good compact review here although it would be good for future buyers if you add more info such as:
General price paid/cost
Any games available on it without downloading facility?
Quality of sound from the headphones supplied.
Sound settings - how many?
