Advantages: beautiful, good shape, good sound, light

Lovely mp3 player, I prefer it over the Nano 4th gen!

I have had this for a year and a half, no problems yet, the battery charge is fine I have used it a lot too! I have used it the entire way through a 14hr flight with battery left over!

It's made out very strong materials and it seems to be stronger than the 4th gen because of the proportions (the long size of the 4th gen looks like it would snap in a pocket!) I also prefer the shape for looks too! The red version is beautiful!

Very very light, I can't hardly notice it in my pocket! I have bought a proporta.com case for it, but to be honest, it doesn't scratch that much if you don't have other things in your pocket!

I never thought I would get an ipod, but I have one now and I have to say it is very easy and quick to use, I am glad that I got it!

Another good thing about the ipod is that the circular wheel only responds to contact with flesh, not anything else, so you can just slip it into your pocket and not worry about it changing anything.

You will NEED to get other headphones for this, any headphones, even £5 ones, because the ones provided with this are so dire.

I don't like that this doesn't have a radio, I have to say! There is an add on available, but I really don't like it and it is expensive! I think it's better to put that money towards a mobile phone with a good radio.

There's no bluetooth on this, which would be useful! And itunes, the software to put the files on is difficult to use and glitchy, I don't understand half the things it does!

In the end, this really is the lightest and best looking of the lot, so if you value that then this is for you, if not then I have heard good things about "Creative" players. Another choice is the Zune, which I wanted because you can have images etched onto it, the zune is only available in America and maybe Canada at the moment though!
