iPod nano, BRILLIANT! (Apple iPod nano (3G) 4 GB)
Member Name: featus
Advantages: Sexy design, cool interface, small size, good memory.... Disadvantages: Poor headphones, smaller battery life My wife brought me an iPod nano for christmas, as a replacement for my previous bulky mp3 player. I always listen to music when I am out and about so size is important. The nano is such a small, thin and weightless thing of beauty. It neatly fits in any of my pockets without my knowing it is there! It is simple to use on the move, with an intuitive interface (i love the small lock, stopping any unwanted skipping of songs). The interface shares much with the iTunes software, it has the great album scroll allowing you to flick through the album covers. Once you have downloaded the latest iTunes onto your computer, you can quickly setup the nano by dropping songs or albums onto the iPod symbol. Updates and charging the nano are as simple as plugging in your USB, these are also very quick. Unfortunately there are draw backs. Firstly, iTunes only likes a certain file type, you may need to change the file types. A complete pain if you have used Windows Media for years! Also, iTunes will only let you use your iPod with one computer, I use three on a day to day basis. The stock head phones are weak with poor sound quality. Budget for new head phones, check your mp3 files are in order with ITunes and you laughing. A great peice of gadgetry. Summary: Great piece of design, can't live without it!
