Advantages: good sized screen, nice colours, fairly easy to use

Disadvantages: rubbish headphones, doesnt stand up to wear and tear

I received my ipod as a gift last christmas (dec 2008). Initially - after working out how to charge and use it - it was fine; its easy to operate, charge and the screen is easy to read, with good colours and a nice display layout.
However, although I dont use it regularly, and have taken good care of it, the headphones dont seem to produce a decent amount of sound, and the rubber covered sections around them seem to be falling off.
While not the most expensive of items ( and while I still love it to pieces), and while I should be able to get hold of a replacement pair od headphones, Id have expected the headphones that came with it to be a bit more heavy-duty, bearing in mind the amount of use the average person may try to get out of their ipod (on the bus, at home, etc.).

Summary: not as heavy duty as Id expect, but overall, worth having.
