Advantages: Simple to use, Reliable, Good sound quality

Disadvantages: Hard to keep fingerprint free

My parents bought me this iPod last year and since then i have never looked back. I consider myself quite a geek (18 and love computer games etc.) and was thoroughly opposed to Apple's anti-piracy measures. I had previously created a large library of mp3 files and worried that they couldn;t be integrated into itunes and loaded onto the ipod due to the DRM measures...no such problems however. A few clicks and my library quickly loaded itself onto the ipod.

The games are good, solitaire being my favourite and play can continue whilst the music is playing which is always good! Playback and control are easy to learn for a complete beginner to the touch wheel. i would definately recommend this product as an impartial bystander as it is incrdibly reliable and useful.

My iPod (me being a student who likes camping) has been through a lot of drops and bangs and the only sign of wear is a few scratches on the mirrored underside, which incidentally is not the easiest to keep clean of figerprints. If you're a little obsessively clean then you will want to invest in a good qualitly case with a magnetic clasp as this will keep the iPod in top quality.

To conclude, if you want a very good reliable product with no breakdowns after 1 year which will incorporate music from many sources and has wide support from many companies then the iPod (3g) is the product for you!
