My view: I was bought the Ipod Nano (3G) as a Christmas present back in December 2007, at the time the device cost between £100-£130, and was the latest in Apples Nano range, when i first opened the box it was distinctively shiny and remarkably light for the size of the memory, i received a 4GB black nano which is capable of holding around one thousand songs if it was solely music you was syncing to it, after registering it, syncing it to my itunes and toying around with it i had a very positive view of the device, i think the cover flow was a great feature as you could skip through artists with ease, and it was very quick and easy to transfer songs to it.
I still occasionally use this nano to this day, however it is more worse for wear now, it is no longer shiny and looking its best, its scratched and cracked, the battery life has decreased so much so that i have to charge it after around eight hours of play back, however it is still a good piece of kit.
Problems i have had: the first few months of having this nano it never caused me any problems, however i would find if i did not use it for a period of a few days then it wouldn't turn on, even if it had a good amount of charge in it, sometimes i would use it during the day, turn it off whilst i didn't want to use it, and then a few hours later go to use it again and run into the same problem, which was a bit of an annoyance when this was my only portable music device.
Conclusion: Overall it is quite a good music device, and would be a lot cheaper nowadays, and although i recommend it, if you are not fussed with technology, but there are quite a few new installments to the nano series in the last few years, and i would consider those first.
hope this review has helped
Summary: I would give this product an overall 6/10
