Advantages: size, great colour screen, good sound. Easy menus

Disadvantages: You dont get a mains charger with the player. have to buy seperately

I have had a Sony player ever since mp3 players really burst on to the scene - I didnt want an ipod as *Everybody* had one. But - a few months back my brick of a Sony mp3 player just didnt seem to be cutting it anymore, so I bought an ipod nano. Ive got the silver 8gb one, and I must say its very good. Good colours and resolution on the screen, good sound (even with the standard headphones), and very easy to navigate menus. Itunes is also easy to use and its good fun creating playlists. Theres even a feature where you can click on one song and it'll build a playlist from the rest of your songs of the same sort of genre. compared to my old brick the ipod felt flimsy at first, but i'm used to it now and despite its size its very sturdy.
If you're considering buying one - do.

Summary: Buy one.
