Advantages: Lots of space, easy to use

Disadvantages: None for me

I was given a 16 GB iPod nano for Christmas in place of my now defunct MP3 player and am very glad that I was! Whereas my MP3 player could only hold around 200 songs before using up its full quota of space, this iPod can hold up to 4000 songs. Granted, I only have just over 400 songs on mine at the moment and am unlikely to ever get to the full capacity, but it's nice to know that there is that much space if I need it.

Even for a totally new iPod user like me, it seems easy enough to use. To move through the menu, you run your fingertip round the central outer circle - one way for down, and the other way for up. A light touch will usually suffice or it can move too quickly through the options. To select an option, press the centre button once. To skip through the tracks, use the arrow buttons. Playing and pausing is a matter of pressing the button at the bottom of the outer circle. Turning the iPod on and off is also simple, as you press the play/pause button for a few seconds to turn off, and press any of the buttons to turn on. To recharge my iPod, I simply connect it up to my computer using the provided cable and leave it to charge while I'm working.

Transferring songs to my iPod seems relatively simple using iTunes, especially as I have mostly been importing my own CDs and syncing those, or downloading tracks from iTunes and syncing those. I haven't yet got the hang of deleting tracks, but considering the space available, I don't have any real need to do this anyway.

I would thoroughly recommend this iPod to anyone who is thinking of getting one, although admittedly I would probably have chosen the 8 GB option if I had bought it myself as I'm not sure that I have music tastes that are wide enough to fill this 16 GB iPod!
