Advantages: Small with a big capacity.

Disadvantages: Forgetting to charge it

My husband brought me this for christmas and it is pink. It is such a beautiful little object, just to look at. I have downloaded nearly all my records onto it and still have over half the space free. It says I have 64 days worth of music!! I found the method of moving CDs onto it easy to master if a little tedious, but basically got into the habit of doing a few CDS a night whilst sat watching TV. I also downloaded all my pictures onto it so that this time when my laptop dies I will not lose my valuable pics of my animals.

I particularly love the genuis function where I can create my own personal playlists. I can now create lists to match my mood. It also suggests similar songs from your collection and songs that you can download. My Ipod also intergrates with my house CD player and I can plug in the ipod and listen to my music from there. I use the play lists when on the train. Just switch on and sit back and watch the scenery to my favourite music. I was devasted the other day when I tried to switch my ipod on and it was not charged. An hour and a half on the train without music omg!

I must admit that it did take me quite a while to get to grips with moving through the menus using the front dial. I did not realise for ages that you use the front literally as a dial. I just thought I had a broken one. Then I read the instructions.

I have not got round to downloading pod casts yet, but am not sure that the small screen will be comfortable for viewing video.

I would say that you should get a case to protect your ipod. The cases seem to be very expensive, but at £150+ to replace the ipod if you damage it, then the cases then see relativley cheap.

Summary: A great portable media system fits into the palm of your hand
