Apple iPod nano (4G) 16 GB
Advantages: memory capactiy
Disadvantages: pixels have began to die
I was bought this Ipod nano a few years back for christmas and i think it is one of my most used presents, its always on, whether it be with headphones in on the go, or on my speakers at home.
The ipod came in a small plastic box, with a clear plastic lid, enabling you too see the ipod and its colour without opening the box.
I have the pink ipod and the colour is very girly, suitable for anyone who loves pink as it is a very strong tone, not at all subtle. The sound quality is good but i think it really depends on which headphones or speakers you use, as to the extent of how good it really is. The features on the ipod are very good, its quick and easy to find a song through playlists, song name, albulm, artist or genre. It also comes installed with three games which you can play whilst listening to your music, ensuring you are never bored on long car journeys. The large memory capacity allows me to store a variety of films, all of which are of very good video quality, giving me more options of what i can do when traveling
Further functions of the ipod include alarms, calenders and clocks. I cannot comment on the calender function as i have never used it but i do use the alarm options daily to wake me in the mornings. The alarm function is good as it will pick a song from random on your ipod, giving you nice surprises in the morning, making things unpredictable, like a phone alarm where you have to manually change the song you wake up to.
Inside the box, the ipod's also come with a set of apple head phones. They are very good quality and are not broken easily like many headphones that come free with products. The only problem i have encountered is the white rubber round the edge making it soft when it goes into your ear began to full off, rather quickly and has now completely come off, so i can no longer use them as they were a bit painful to put in.
The ipod facilities are very easy to use, you just plug it into the itunes software you download onto your computer and everything is pretty much self explanatory as apple give lots of prompted advice along the way. You control the majority of your ipods facilities with the itunes and plug the ipod into the computer with the provided USB and the two will synch together transferring everything from your itunes to your ipod.
over the past few weeks i have noticed that some of the pixels have died on my screen so i now have rather annoying black squares and lines through it but this is the first problem i have encountered over the four years i have had this ipod, so i would say it is very durable.
Overall i would say i am very thankful i was bought an ipod nano for christmas as it has been my lifesaver in escaping boredom on journeys and in my room on my own. I would also say it is very good value for its money as it has lots of different options and as i mentioned earlier i have only had one problem with it over the past four years. I will definitely look into buying another one when my screen finally goes.
Summary: i would recommend
