Advantages: Easy to use, great features and all round good quality
Disadvantages: frozen a couple of times but nothing serious
This was my first ever apple product, never had an ipod before as have always used a phone or mp3 player.
Since getting my ipod nano my love for music and apple has grown. The ipod is slim, sleek and extremely light. The screen is crystal clear and sound is great. Battery life is pretty solid, lasts me about 3 hours of music, and less for video.
Similar to the iPod touch in the sense it has an inbuilt motion sensor so that you can tilt to view albums by cover and works wonders in the included games. With 8GB of space, it's truely great value for money at around 100 pounds on amazon. Capable of holding thousands of songs and many videos, it really does do all you need for on the go. There is a hold button located on the top of the device to stop that annoying accidental change in music. The finger pad is very responsive, is easy to plug in to any pc or laptop.
What also surprised me was the size of the screen. From seeing my friends' older generation ipods, the screen on this has to be at least double the size, which makes it fine for watching video clips etc.
Perhaps the only slight problem is that mine has frozen a couple of times and has needed resetting, but since then has been no problems and makes a great birthday gift or even treat yourself to one. The overall quality is excellent. Also available in several colours and wide range of accessories.
Summary: Makes a great gift or upgrade
