Advantages: stylish, full of features, innovative new ideas, environmentally friendly

Disadvantages: off button is problematic, unable to disable some features

The Ipod 4th Gen Nano is innovative, stylish and fun!

Music and film in one smart little 36g device. Yes movies can be downloaded onto the 4th Gen and are very watch able on the high resolution screen. It holds around 4 hours of video playback, 24 hours of music playback (around 2000 tracks) and also digital photos, which can be played in a slideshow. Album art is displayed alongside the tracks, which when tipped on its side will move with the screen so its always readable whatever angle you hold your ipod at! Tipping it on its side also allows you to browse through album art cover flow.

I personally own the pink version of ipods latest offering and I find it relatively easy to use and packed with cool features and little extras.
Slim line design, very thin in fact to the point that I personally believe a case is needed so that it is easier to grip, just a personal view though. It features Ipods signature click wheel which is very touch sensitive.

A 2 inch back lit screen provides ample viewing capacity for the colour screen and is also easy to watch movies on, like a (very) small flat screen TV!

As well as the music and film features, 4th Gen ipods are also pre-programmed with some very fun games, easy to play, actually tipping and moving the player to move the ball across the screen, provides plenty of fun, and is sometimes harder than you'd imagine!

The Genius play list feature which is installed on the device really is ingenious! It's a feature which can be used at the click of a button, what it does is chooses songs from your itunes library that it thinks will go together well and puts them into a playlist for you! It really is a good little feature! Kind of like having your own little DJ inside your ipod!

The 4th Gen also features the shake features, shaking the ipod shuffles to a random song! Great for a little unpredictability!

For anyone who is interested in being "green" and environmentally friendly, it is worth noting that this Nano features non arsenic based glass, no mercury in the product and also has a highly recyclable aluminium casing.

You also get, the ipod in ear head phones, with excellent sound quality, usb cable for connection to computers (charging time is roughly 3 hours to be fully charged from flat and around 1.5 hours to be 80% charged) instructions (could be a little more comprehensive but still informative) and a dock adapter

To me the only slight letdown is the way to switch off the Nano, this is done by holding in the play/pause buttons for a few seconds. Now to me because the click wheel is so sensitive to touch it can easily be knocked in a handbag or pocket, thus draining the battery. To combat this I find clicking the screen lock button on the top of the Nano helps, just a little quibble, still an all round excellent product, good value for money, smart and stylish too.

Summary: ipods 4th gen is sleek, funky and rocking, great features, great design, cute colours for all tastes

I hate ipods ^_^ though I do like the look of 3rd and 4th gen nano's, Well they aren't that bad really but they cost a lot for what you get. How much did you pay for this one?
