Advantages: Looks and feels beautiful, great sound
Disadvantages: Average headphones
I debated buying an IPOD for ages, but always wondered if i should go for a cheaper MP3 player. Finally i decided to buy a NANO, and opted for the sleek red version. As with all apple products, it's the attention to detail and design that does it for me. Even the box it arrives in is quite beautiful and there's no ripping off the packaging when this arrives.
I came to this product without much experience of MP3 players, but instantly got to grips with the smooth effortless controls. As i have a Mac laptop, loading tunes and artwork was quick and simple although loading tunes from a cd can take a while, although i guess its not much of a burden as you only have to do it once.
Whilst the instructions that came with the NANO were brief, you can easily find a more detailed manual on apple's website. The sound is great, although the headphones supplied are nothing special. It's also a little annoying that you can only charge your phone through a USB port, and that a separate socket charger has to be bought extra. This obviously depends on your lifestyle, if you're always surrounded by computers etc it's ok, but give me an old fashioned plug in your wall charger any day of the week.
Overall, i'd thoroughly recommend buying this NANO. There are cheaper options available, but with apple you get quality, and you can't help feeling you're buying a piece of art!
Summary: Looks good, feels good, sounds good. It's good!
