Ipod nano 4th generation - a real move forward (Apple iPod Nano (4G) 8 GB)
Member Name: tangoman84
Advantages: Small, feature packed, great looking, great screen, excellent sound quality, brilliant build quality Disadvantages: None
I already own an Apple Ipod (classic version with a high capacity) and love having my high capacity Ipod but was looking into getting something smaller and lighter for if I am going out to exercise or if I am travelling to meet mates for a night out as I love to listen to music on my way to these nights out but also want a player which I can put in a pocket and not have to worry about weighing me down or being too obvious to others so I picked up one of these after seeing the adverts for these and taking a quick trip up to my nearest Apple store. After purchasing the player the first thing I was struck with was the sleek design which makes this a very small player and extremely lightweight. The player like all of the Apple Ipods feels very well made and once you charge the player up and switch this on you see the quality in the player through the fanstastic screen which shows brilliantly bright and clear information making th menus easier than ever. The player holds up to about 2000 songs and has a fantastic battery life (dependant on how loud you have this will depend on how long the battery lasts) which should be more than sufficient as it allows upto 24 hours if using for music playback. The new Ipod nano has some new features which make this a unique piece of kit when put against market competitors like the fact that the player senses the angle it is at so if you turn the player side on then your player will automatically change your display to show in this mode for you, building on the new motion sensor is a fantastic addition of the shake to randomise feature which means that giving your player a little shake will take you to a random song in your playlist. The other thing that has been added to the player is the new gaming ability which takes the motion sensor and intergrates this into the games you play on the move with games now being designed so that you race cars and use the nano as the motion sensor wheel as well as games where you have to move balls around obstacle courses into holes...the new game feature is something that is not just good for the adult but if you are out and your child plays up then you can give them a shot on the game to entertain them for a while. Summary: A great little player which is feature packed whilst ensuring the basics are done perfectly
