Advantages: new features added and great battery life

Disadvantages: headphones by apple are rubbish

I have owned this ipod for about 6 months now and it is another great apple product.

Memory

The ipod has a memory of 8gb which for me is just the right amount. This means you can store up to 2000 songs, 4 hours of video or 7000 photos. Alternativley you could have a variety of each.

Battery

The ipod nano has a great battery which lasts up to 24 hours, this is great for when i go on holiday, long journeys etc.

Features

New to the 4th gen ipod is the accelerometer. This allows you to turn the ipod on its side and it will turn the screen aswell to make it wider. This is a very useful feature as when watching films, it gives you a much wider viewing screen. Also new to the nano range is the ability to add video to the ipod. This gives you much more choice of what to put on. Another new feature is that you can shake your ipod to change the song, this is new to ipod range making it much more unique than others.


Overall the product is great, the variety of colours available and all the new features added are brilliant. I recommend an ipod nano to everybody. The ease to use is extraordinary, using the click wheel to just slide through your songs is much easier than it sounds.

The only down side are the headphones supplied by apple. They seem to make my ears very uncomftable and hurt a little once they have been in for a long time. I think they should use in-ear headphones instead.
