Advantages: Good design, lots of options.
Disadvantages: Not great for videos.
This was the iPod that I owned before I bought a Shuffle recently, which I decided to get because it was cheap and so portable. However, I still have this, although I don't use it that much, and I think it's a good product. This is one of the cheaper iPods available now, and can be bought quite cheaply.
-ooo- The Product -ooo-
It's similar to the shuffle in the way that it's a smaller version of the regular iPod, and it has similar controls and look. However, there are some big differences. Most importantly, it has a colour screen and can play videos as well as songs.
This product has a good battery life, and lasts for several days of heavy use without running out. Like all iPods, it's very easy to charge - you can just plug it into your laptop and charge it via the USB cable. This also allows you to use iTunes, where you can rearrange your music and buy new music from the iTunes store, which is really easy to do.
The screen is very small, which is fine for listening to music, as you don't really need to see much information. However, for watching videos it is very small, and this is more difficult. You can fit thousands of songs on here depending on the size you choose, but obviously videos are bigger, so you won't have as much space.
-000- Would I Recommend? -ooo-
I think there are lots of good things about the Nano. It's very well designed, has good music quality (although the earphones aren't the best you could buy, they do break before that long) and is small enough and light enough to make it very convenient and portable. I used to use mine for exercising, and I used an arm strap for this, which was useful and I found it very easy, although I use my Shuffle now.
The problem is that I don't think it's big enough for video. I would get another iPod for this purpose if I could afford it, then just use the Shuffle for music while travelling etc. I think this is well designed, but there are probably better iPods available.
Summary: I prefer other models.
