An iPod was something that I was hanging out for a while. After watching my friend play around with his new iPod nano 5g 16 GB, I had to get one myself. The look and feel of the device is superb and very unique to any other mp3 player. I bought the black colour.

I rushed off and installed iTunes on my laptop. I configured it to my liking and setup my account. I was ready to go. ITunes is so easy and user friendly when buying music. You can even preview the song before buying. Prices have risen over the years but not by much. After purchasing my music I connected my iPod to the laptop and synchronised al the music.

The iPod makes it simple when scrolling through music that you want to play my song title or album title. There is plenty of storage at around 16 GB which is more than enough for my music collection. I have only used half.

The main features that really impressed me are: Very user friendly and crystal clear display which looks very nice. Very light and looks sleek and modern. Large LCD screen so more information can be displayed on the screen at a time. Excellent sound quality and the headphones supplied have great high and low bass. Connects to iTunes very easily for quick music synchronisation.

IPods are great for music, but now the new iphones have set into the stores, they do most functions like the iPod nano. I guess it's nice to have a separate device so if you're going for a run you won't have to worry about your iphone battery life or accidently dropping it on the ground.

Overall it is a very simple and easy device to use. It can be taken anywhere due to its compact size. You can also buy portable iPod speakers made especially for docking your iPod and playing your music in full rich sound. It's very cheap to buy and there are many different types and colours. It's the perfect Christmas gift for any music lover.
