Advantages: Great design with a larger, more widescreen like screen, exceptionally light and very easy to use

Disadvantages: Can't fault the Apple iPod Nano in the slightest... it was just the wrong one for me personally

I bought this a little while ago after my first iPod had broken. I must say, I've regretted having got this particular model. It's not that I have a problem with iPods, I just realised that I got the wrong one for my own needs. This is something you should properly consider before buying your own.

I soon realised that if you're a music fanatic - like myself - then 8GB just isn't enough. If I was going to get a Nano again it should have been the 16GB one. Ideally, I'd like more than this even but 16GB is the max memory for Nanos. Then you're onto an iPod classic where the memory capacity is much larger. They're able to hold a whole lifetime supply of your favourite tunes but they're much bigger and heavier than their fellow Nanos - so this is a bit of a downfall. That's why I'm still glad I've got something small, but the limited memory capacity just doesn't cut it for me. Therefore, if you think you've got a lot of music/ you want to use your system for movies/TV shows/games and all the rest, then you may want to consider a 16GB one if it needs to be light in your pocket.

Really, whichever iPod you choose, they're all great. I know people with all kinds; from the iPod shuffle to the iPhone, you can't go wrong. My granparents recently got a 16GB nano as a gift and it's going down very well with them! I know I couldn't live without my Nano; it comes with me everywhere; anyone who knows me knows I'm never without it, making it possibly my best purchase to date.

Its looks absolutely top-notch with its metallic finish, giving it a beautiful shine. I simply chose black and this looks great with its metallic quality. I immediately noticed just how light it is compared to all the Nanos before it; it's brilliant - so small and light! I got a set of cases/coverings for it to keep it in good condition since it's so lovely looking and it's still in perfect condition after all these months of it (I'm sure) being chucked about in my bag.

The sound on this sweet device is good, though you'll really need to replace the standard Apple iPod earphones with something better for the best sound. This model comes with a video camera, pedometer and in-built radio which I've found useful and had plenty of fun with, especially the pedometer - never knew you could have so much fun counting steps. That's all I'll say!

To summarise, If you want a small music player that looks great and you don't need much memory then this will set you up just nicely.

Summary: Apple never go wrong with their iPods!
