Apple iPod nano (6G) 8 GB
Advantages: easy to use with the touch screen, good options
Disadvantages: sound is a bit lower than my previous one, battery is gone quicker
I always have been an Apple fan especially when it comes to the Nano range. When the first Nano came out I just had to have it. Not only because the way it looked but i was really amazed by the sound quality and the ease to operate the device. I thought it was time was a upgrade and decided to buy the Apple iPod Nano the 6 generation with 8 gb of space.
While the orignal one really shined with it's bright colours and the slim long black with the silver backing. This one is totally different in size. The device at the front is just really the screen and on the back you have a clip. Also this one is available in different culours.
When you first want to use the Nano you will have to connect it to the computer. It's quiet easy with the USB cable that comes with the Nano. When you plug the Nano to the computer it should automatic install itself. Ofcourse since it's an Apple product you need Itune and Quicktime in order for it to work. Now I never have been a big fan of Itunes but it's not to bad to use.
This Nano is totally different from the orginal one and it has a touch screen on the front. The screen works very easy and you get easily go trough the different options. I have been a fan of the wheel on the old Nano but this touch screen works eaily enough. Sometimes it's a bit too sensitive when I'm clicking on something. The layout of the menu is very easy as you have Music, Radio, Photo's, Now Playing, Fitness and more options.
The Nano is very easy to use when after syncing it with Itunes all your songs will be on the Nano. You can browse by song, album, artist and composer. Ofcourse you can skip, forward, back and pause while listening to the music. In order to don't press any buttons when you don't want to, you can easily lock the screen with the power button.
The volume is pretty good of the Nano although it feels like the sound is a bit lower than my old one, but that
might be just my imagation. One of the new features is the fintess option were you can use the Nano as a pedometer. It's something I never use, but suppose it's a good addition for some.
Overall I'm very please with the Nano and the only drawback is that it feels the battery is gone quicker and that must have to do with the touch screen which i'm sure when using it a lot will drain the battery. I can still last easily a day and so with it so that's not a problem, but i do notice that i have to charge it a lot more than normal. Overall four stars.
