Apple iPod nano (6G) 8 GB
Advantages: Small, light.
Disadvantages: None that I can think of.
I was bought my iPod as a gift for Valentines this year, AW I know :) and at first I was a little wary of it being so small and worried it might be one that can be easily broken, I, however, was wrong.
The fact that its so small would usually put me off but Apple have managed to create a fine product with this, cramming 8gb of memory into something not much bigger than a pack of butter from a restaurant and also giving jeans companies a reason to put that little pocket above the big one, unless you use the handy dandy clip on the back that is.
Everything you need from an mp3 player is right there at your fingertips, Music, Fitness (which is just amazing), radio, photos, podcasts and settings are right there on your home screen, which by the way can be rotated by twisting the screen, very handy for if you wear it in certain places and want if facing you properly.
Music speaks for itself, the 8gb memory allows for upto 2000 songs, this obviously changes depending on if you put photos on etc.
Photos lets you store your favourite pictures at superb quality right there in your pocket.
Radio is...well...radio in your area and national stations.
Podcasts, again are self explanatory with access to your favourite podcasts right there in the palm of your hand.
In your settings you will find sub menus with access to setting for each of the features on your home screen as well as general settings for your iPod including brightness, wallpaper, date & time etc.
Fitness was something that I really took a liking to right away, upon entering the fitness menu you are faced with the options of Walk, Run or History. Walk and Run measure your walks or runs with the iPods built in pedometer, you are able to keep track of calories burnt, work out time, speed and distance as well as the option to set yourself daily goals to work towards. After working out you can go to nikeplus.com and sync your workout information with your Nike+ account and keep full track of your workouts from day one, very good for people trying to stay in shape or lose weight.
Overall I think this is one of the best iPods out there as its not a big lumbering chunk sitting in your pocket but still has the same capacity and capabilities as said lumbering chunk.
Would recommend this to anybody that likes music on the go and during physical activities. I use it when I'm skating and it's just perfect.
Summary: Very good product.
