Advantages: Size, Battery Life, Assessibility
Disadvantages: No Lock
When the iPod Nano (6G) was first advertised I knew instantly that it was the iPod for me, as I kept on seeing more and more advertisements for it, I decided to cave in and buy myself this product, and to my advantage I was not disappointed at all.
The first obvious advantage of this iPod Generation is the size of it, for the iPod users who mostly keep it in their pocket it is the perfect size to fit in and also be protected but for the users who prefer to have their iPod more assessable this generation also comes with a handy clip on the back for clipping to your bag, t-shirt, belt, etc. which comes in very handy for runners and cyclists.
Unlike previous Generations of the iPod Nano this version does not come with the option of the lock tab, so if you want to lock it onto a certain playlist or artist without the risk of it accidentally changing you now don't have the option which is some cases can come in very unhandy.
In my personal experience I have found that in quite a few cases with the iPod being in your pocket it can quite easily turn itself off and on multiple times and cause you to lose battery quickly and have to keep changing your music back and forth which is a very aggravating disadvantage.
Although another very good advantage that I've found is when the iPod screen isn't left on all the time the battery life is incredibly good, sometimes a full charge can last me for over a week which is amazing considering I use my iPod at least 5 hours every day!
I'm a big fan of the ability to include personal photo's onto this generation, it gives you the chance to personalise your device alongside your music.
Finally I have to say that this device is incredibly easy to use and easy to set up, the built-in radio picks up signal easily and the device is also very sturdy, I myself have dropped my device at least 15 times and so far not even a scratch!
