Advantages: Size is perfect.

Disadvantages: sometimes cant find songs i want to listen to.

Before I got this ipod as a present, I had an Ipod shuffle 3rd gen so I don't have much to compare this one to but one thing I can say for it is at least you can browse the tracks and actually see the names of them. I got very confused when trying to find a certain song on the shuffle, as it did no have a screen. The ipod nano was the perfect upgrade.

A word of warning, if you have an old computer and are thinking of buying your first Ipod remember that you need to download Itunes to be able to put music onto the ipod. Apple provide Itunes from there website but it's only available for windows 2000 and above. (Don't know about Mac's.)

The new Nano has a 2" full colour screen that is 65% brighter than the old version and measures 69 x 52 x 6.5mm, weighing just under 50 grams. The sizing make's it look a bit dumpy but I think it's cute. It comes in a range of colours including a brand new pink one that's lovely.

The best feature of this ipod is that you can watch up to 5 hours of TV shows, music videos, podcasts and use the cover flow (pictures of the album cover) to flip through your music. I find this feature annoying as Itunes only recognised some of my albums so half the tracks don't have a picture.

The 8GB claim's to hold 2000 songs but I have never tried to add that many songs before.

The click wheel can be over sensitive at times but it adjusts the volume, navigates songs, and explores the music menu by playlist, artist, album, song, genre or composer.

Episodes of TV shows are available on itunes at just £1.89 each episode and are available as whole episodes (no sure on the price). I always download the Chris moyals podcast, from the bbc radio one website, its really funny.

If you are thinking of buying a 8GB Ipod nano they are around £120, but look out for offers such as 20% off when bought with a sound system. The ipod nano offers alot of extras including 3 games, calendar and world clock. The games are really handy when you're bored. I

t is a brill little mp3 player and I highly recommend it.
