Disadvantages: Very expensive for what it is

iPods have had mixed reviews in the past, they were put down because of their inferior battery life, the fact that they always seem to break just when the warranty has gone out of date, and the fact that they have always been quite expensive. For the most part i tended to agree with this, i have known many people who owned the first generation iPods and were very dissapointed with them. However all this changed when i recieved my own iPod nano last christmas.

On the whole i have been very impressed with it, they are very easy to use. The main controls being the click wheel at the centre, and it has a very clear screes which is perfect for watching things on while on the go. I recently made a trip to Edinburgh from Liverpool by train taking 5 hours in total, without my iPod nano it would have been an nightmare, i watched 2 movies and listened to music for the rest of the way and it still had over half of its battery left.

The only real downside i have found is that iPod acessories, like the iPod itself, are very expensive. For example if you wish to charge your iPod without using your computer, which can be very inconvenient if you have a limited amount of USB ports, then you have to purchase one as an extra, something which all other MP3 players i have owned have come with as standard.

On the whole the iPod nano is a very handy and stylish acessory, before i got it i wasnt that fussed, yet now i cant see how i got by without it!
