I seem to work my way through iPods at an alarming rate. Having previously owned and destroyed an older version of the iPod Nano, and an iPod Shuffle, the new iPod has turned out to be much sturdier for me. It holds 8gb which is plenty for me, as I prefer to just upload playlists rather than my entire music library.

You also can watch videos on this updates Nano, which you would think would be annoying on such a small screen, but the picture quality is actually very impressive. One of the games it came with is the new iPod quiz, which is a great trivia quiz that has helped me through many long boring train journeys!

One of the great things about all iPods is the way it interacts so well with its computer program, iTunes, which lets you download music, podcasts (like radio shows), movies and TV shows and easily upload them onto your iPod for listening.

One downside is that songs from iTunes come DRM protected, meaning you cannot listen to them outside of the iPod or iTunes, and if you buy songs from other websites, sometimes they come in formats which cannot play on the iPod.

Overall the iPod is a truely useful mp3 player (and dvd player and radio!), as evidenced by the fact I keep buying new ones after I break them!
