Advantages: Small size, cheap price, good capacity

Disadvantages: Older model - this is a subjective issue though.

This iPod was a replacement for my original iPod mini which eventually packed up! What a robust music player that was, lasted for years before the battery finally died although that is not the topic of this review, let's talk about the iPod Nano 3rd generation model.

In my opinion the best feature of this particular model is the size! It really is tiny compared to the other, bigger iPods like the Classic. This Nano is the perfect size to carry around in your pocket yet still have a good enough screen to display albums covers, pictures, videos and games. The battery life is pretty impressive too giving aa good few days of very heavy use.

The music quality is very good although the headphones which are supplied by Apple are rubbish. You should do yourself a favour and invest in a good quality pair of aftermarket headphones which will hugely boost your enjoyment of the music experience. At the moment I have around 1700 songs on the iPod with around 1.5GB of storage space remaining so as you can see there's a fair bit of scope for song capacity!

I'd say it's hard to fault this item and at the price it is now is there really any point buying the 4th gen nano just for its tilt feature?

Summary: Highly recommended - won't go far wrong with one of these.
