I received this nano as a christmas present last year and was immediately satisfied by the overall quality and appearance of the player. I was given this as a replacement for the phillips player that I had and the difference was incredible!
The nano first of all is very pretty - I got one in light blue and it looks great in my room on my ipod dock. All of my friends bought this nano also because it is so much more attractive than the previous one. The fact that it is so small and thin makes in stylish and easy to carry around. I also found that 8gb was a perfect size for my needs - not too small and not too large.
One of the best things about ipods in general is that, unlike other mp3 players, there are so many accessories such as speakers, ipod socks etc. that can be purchased to go with the ipod. The ipod also comes with a protective case.
The only one downside is that the headphones supplied are the old-fashioned uncomfortable hard ones rather than the newer ones. However, new ones can be bought relatively cheaply.
