Advantages: whole product
Disadvantages: scroll wheel can be sensitive and fiddly
The Apple Ipod nano is a portable media player which you use for storing and playing audio files. Made by Apple it is the market leader for MP3 playing worldwide. It has a very stylish shape and interface and very simple and user friendly software.
Files are transferred to and from the Ipod using a usb cable that you attach to your computer. It is only transferrable through the software of Itunes. Although it is restricted to this, Itunes is a very easy and user friendly software to use.
An ipod's main use i for playing music while on the move but it also has the capability to store and show photos, videos, games, contact information among other useful features.
*Files it Supports*
Music - MP3, AAC/M4A, Protected AAC, AIFF, WAV, Audible audiobook, and Apple Lossless.
Photo - JPEG, BMP, GIF, TIFF, and PNG
Video - MPEG-4 (H.264/MPEG-4 AVC) and QuickTime
Unfortunately it doesn't support WMA files but these can easily be converted.
Transferring files is very simple and once connected to the computer it usually does it all by itself. It is also fairly fast and will let you know when its done. More specific music and other file transfers can be chosen by selection of files.
An 8GB Ipod holds over 1000 songs and many photos.
I find it very easy to use, its stylish and made of good quality materials. The casing can become scratched but can withhold a fair bash.
The only criticism i have is that the scroll wheel can be a bit sensitive.
Summary: A great product well worth its price tag

- 19/10/09 Following on from what ediburgher said, you need to include far more personal opinion. The statistics you have included are great, but your review needs be more than a list of stats and how the basics work.
Talk about the software, iTunes, and maybe include info on the battery life. |

- 19/10/09 Sorry for the lowish rating, but there are a lot of reviews for this product and yours doesn't seem to add much to the discussion. A bit heavy on the lists/facts and figures, as opposed to opinion. |
