The Ipod nano with 8 GB memory is my favourite gadget and one I never leave home without it. What more can one gadget give, it stores all my music, I download about 20 podcasts a week and it has capacity for photo storage.

Let me take you on a little walk down memory lane, remember those days when you if you liked a band would walk down to the CD store and buy a small compact box containing a CD. You would listen to this CD on your CD player before keeping it in a rack with all your other CD's. Oh yes, we were the most up to date possible, however, consider life in the year 2010 and well we like a band and rather than walk down to the shops we turn on itunes and download the album. If we had the songs on CD then we could convert them to mp3 files and they could also be stored in our itunes library.

All of this would be impossible without a generic mp3 player and the ipod is the best mp3 player around in my opinion. The ipod nano with 8 GB memory space has capacity for around 2000 songs and has a large enough viewing screen to allow films to be watcheable on the small screen. I used to have a ipod maxi with a 6 GB memory which stored all my music but the screen was small and in monotone black on grey. My new ipod has a larger screen, more memory space and the screen is in full colour.

So every album downloaded has accompanying album art and most of the podcasts which you can download have some kind of colour insignia to accompany the podcast.

I have to say that podcasts have very quickly become my favourite method of wasting time on my commute every day so I download podcats on football, cricket, music, sci-fi, fantasy and history. These are free and download automatically everytime a new one comes along for podcasts subscribed.

This ipod gives me everything I could need in terms of holding my music, giving me lots of interesting things to listen too in terms of podcasts and I have a few films downloaded if I want to watch them.

The ipod has the customary ipod circle scrolling menu searches and comes in a variety of colours and navigating through the sub menu's is really easy. It also can be used as a storage device for pictures and images and also has a few interesting games including blocks which is addictive.

The ipod is easy to use, great fun and 8GB is more than enough for all my needs.
