I've had this model iPod nano for about 3 years now, it's the only iPod I've ever owend, and quite frankly I love it. It's small enough to fit alongside my phone in the same pocket, and yet has the capacity for about 1,000 songs, which realistically is more songs than you actually like. The scroll-wheel common to all iPods is an amazing thing, it's so very easy to select a song and play it, and I think that the scroll wheel is the best method to skip to a place in a song that exists. The sound quality is ace, I can't tell the difference between my iPod and a CD, anyone who claims they can is probably lying.
Putting your favourite tunes onto the device is exceptionally easy, itunes does a very good job of it. While not the product reviewed here, itunes must be mentioned as it is such an integral part of the iPod experience. The store really is comprehensive, and if you can't find a song on there, it's probably not worth having! Downloading can take a little while, but there we go. Syncing songs can be quite slow if you have to do them all at once, but normally I find I'm just making a few changes so the process only takes seconds.
On top of the amazingness of it's functionality this is a very rugged device; it's survived many a drop, scrape, knock, throw, whack, etc. I've even lost it a few times but it's managed to find it's way back to me!
What a great invention.
