Advantages: Small, discreet.

Disadvantages: No Display, Skips parts of tracks

Don't get me wrong, I love iPods, but the shuffle always seemed pointless to me. The skip back function doesn't work properly, annoying when listening to podcasts. The regular iPod is miles better value and a lot more fun. The headphones are fine, but what good are they really when you can't adjust the sound output to your own preference. These days I just use the shuffle as a data storage device for moving photos and video around. You could easily buy an MP3 player with similar capacity for much the same price, plus you get a display. I'm sure apple will say goodbye to this one when it releases its next generation of video iPods later this year.

Summary: Overhyped data storage device. Buy a real iPod instead!
