Having already bought a classic IPod I discovered it was just too big and heavy for running even with an elasticated armband holder. The Ipod shuffle is ideal and must be one of the smallest and lightest MP3 players on the market. It comes as a clip which fastens firmly on your clothes and is available in a variety of colours and if you buy the PRODUCT RED one you are even giving to charity.

The cost is relatively cheap (£32ish), it holds around 240 songs which you can play in order or shuffle. It's easy to use with the iTunes software and has a simple wheel control with play, track skip and volume controls. You can't search easily for a specific track but due to the size and weight I doubt if this player can be beaten for gym or running or any other physical activity.

I think they are just about to release a 2GB one but I think this one is deal for mobility and exercise purposes - hard to beat!
