I bought the new ipod shuffle because I accidentally broke my Ipod Nano. I really didn't want to spend another £110 on a new one, so I opted for the purple 1GB Ipod Shuffle for £32 from Apple store UK. When I received my order I was very impressed.

You might ask what is so good about this ipod. Well it's definitely a cheaper option than say the Nano, and the quality is amazing.
I was so impressed by this ipod. The 1GB shuffle holds up to 240 songs. I go to the gym a lot so I loved the idea you can clip it to yourself and run, it saves worrying that your ipod is going to go flying out your pocket and get broken. The ipod shuffle comes in a wide range of colours, when I ordered mine I went for the purple colour.

When you receive your ipod shuffle it will be well presented in a clear plastic box. Inside you will get;

Ipod Shuffle, Earphones, USB dock and the guides for your ipod.

The ipod shuffle is 1.07 inches (27.3.mm), the width is 1.62 inches (41.2mm), depth is 0.41 inch (10.5mm) this includes the clip, and it weighs 0.55 ounces (15.6 grams).

The shuffle is so small and light, which makes it very easy to carry around with you, it's never to big to go in your pocket.

Before purchasing I always make sure I do an online search to try and find the best deal around. When I ordered mine the best place to buy from was Apple UK. If you order direct with Apple you can also get free laser engraving, this is ideal if you are buying it as a gift.

**Overall thoughts**

This is a great ipod for the price. The sound and quality of the ipod shuffle is superb, and I can't fault it in anyway. The only downside of the shuffle is you have no screen, so it's hard to find particular songs. However, for the price, you can't really complain. It does everything you could want for a basic ipod, and so far, I have had no problems with mine.
