Advantages: Very compact, easy to use
Disadvantages: No screen
I wasn't really looking for an iPod but I recieved this as a free gift and, so far, am really pleased with it. Although I've since checked and the price seems pretty reasonable - cheaper than most other MP3 players I've seen.
As I had some iTunes vouchers left from Christmas I started filling it up right away and was pleasantly surprised by how many songs I could get on it (it's not full yet so I don't know what the complete capacity is but there is certainly plenty of room for all my favourite albums and a nice mixture of others). The 'autofill' function on iPlayer is really handy too as it just selects a random mixture of tracks from your music library.
The sound quality seems fine to me, though I'm not especially fussy about this as long as the songs sound clear. The size on the players ig great - it really is tiny but has a strong clip to prevent is easily falling off/getting lost. The earphones that came with it are comfortable and don't fall out and the buttons are easy to identify by feel (great if you just want to flick to another track, or change the volume without pulling it out to look). In fact, there really is no reason to look at it as there is no screen and this might be seen as the only disadvantage to this great little player as it just plays all the songs in order (or randomly) and the only way to select one in particular is to skip through all the others to find it. However, I don't even really see this as a drawback as it will ensure I listen to tracks I don't usually and get a good mixture.
Overall, a great little player. Highly recommended!
Summary: A great little player!
