I was given an ipod shuffle as a gift and I absolutely love it!
The shuffle comes in 5 different colours including blue, silver, orange, green and pink. I have since seen one in red which looked rather fetching.
My choice of colour was pink as this is my favourite colour so definitely a bonus! The 1GB shuffle holds on average 200 songs. I think 2 GB versions hold up to 500 songs.
I found being limited to only 200 songs was actually a good thing as it ensured every single song that I uploaded to my ipod was a favourite song. Once the songs are playing and on the shuffle mode I had no need to continuously skip songs and search for different tracks as some other people do on their bigger ipods...
The shuffle comes with earphones and can also be used with portable speakers - excellent if you're taking the ipod shuffle on holiday. It also charges up once plugged into a computer or laptop.

Summary: Good if you just want your favourite songs on shuffle
