Advantages: nice and easy to use

Disadvantages: you have to 'shuffle' through each song you own to find a particular one

I bought myself an apple iPod shuffle about 6 months ago when my last mp3 played broke. I was after a small, cheap and light mp3 player as I mainly use it when I am in the gym. The 1 GB iPod shuffle holds on average 200 5 MB songs on it which is plenty for the usage I need from it, (only an hour or two a day).

The shuffle is a very easy item to use as it does not have too numerous buttons on it, just the basic ones which are required for light use.

The downside to using the suffle is that it has no screen on it whatsoever, therefore if you have numerous songs saves on you shuffle and want to list to any particular song you have to keep pressing FF through every song until you eventually get to that particular song (happens very often if you are a picky listen like me, i have my favorite songs which I like to hear repeatedly.)

Summary: A easy to use mp3 player which is good for light use
