Advantages: Small enough to conceal under clothing whist walking down the street

Disadvantages: Lack of screen can cause difficulties

This music player is perfect for someone who wants to listen to music whilst exercising, who is new to the portable music player "scene" and for anyone who doesn't like to listen to their music in the same order all the time like on a CD.
The ipod shuffle has a clip on the back of it to attach it to clothing so it won't move about or fall out of your pocket whilst you are exercising. The clip is very strong so it is unlikely to fall off.
It is so small that it is easily concealed on the person so that you are not temping potential muggers when you are walking down the street listening to your favourite tunes.
However, because of the small size, it is very easy to lose the thing.
It is perfect as a first portable music player because it holds plenty of songs, not thousands like some players, but at least a few hours worth.
The obvious disadvantage of the ipod shuffle is the lack of a screen. It means that you can't easily skip to your favourite track. The only advantage of the lack of screen is the fact that it means that the player can be made smaller.
The player is easy to use and the buttons are simple to understand. The flashing lights are the only way for the player to convey to you if there is a problem, which can be a bit confusing, but the player comes with a small leaflet which explains it all.
The earphones that are supplied are OK, nothing special in my opinion, and I find that they can fall out of the ears at times.
The battery lasts for ages, I don't think it's ever run out on me, and is charged via USB.
Overall, I am very happy with this music player, I just sometimes wish it was a bit easier to skip to a certain track when I want to.
