Advantages: Its convenient size

Disadvantages: You cannot see which track is playing

This is the handiest little gadget around if you like the convenience of being able to listen to music on the way to work everyday. The reason I prefer the Shuffle is its size. I can clip it onto my clothing or handbag without it looking bulky or getting in the way. It is very hardy and can simply be slipped into my handbag without worrying about it getting scratched or damaged. It is made of solid material and you never need to worry about it losing its grip on your clothing.
Its functions are very limited (compared to the e.g. iPod classic). It does not have a screen, which means that you have no idea which track will be playing next. If you do not want to listen to a track you need to skip one track at a time until you get to something you want to listen to. The battery life is reasonably long at 12 hours. I put new tracks onto mine every few weeks as you cannot keep your entire music collection on it.
There are only 2 disadvantages to the Shuffle 1) You cannot see which tracks you are playing 2) I personally do not like the headphones that you get with the iPods.

Summary: A great way to carry some music with you at all times
