Advantages: Easy to use, reliable, affordable

Disadvantages: No screen and can be difficult to get the song you want

These little things are great for a run, perhaps a work out or just a casual walk.
They're small, simple and can be clipped to your jacket or shirt.

iPod shuffles have no screen and are controlled by a small circular pad which enables to to stop, pause, rewind, skip and fast forward you songs. There is volume control and the 2gig version is capable of storing around 500 songs depending on the length and file size. The iPod is available in a range of different colours and cost around 50 pounds for te 2G version. There are other versions ie 1G and 512MB depending on your needs.

I don't really think the shuffle makes a good choice if you're intending to use it on long car jouneys, whilst working/studying etc as no screen does annoy me quite alot and it can take quite a while to get the song you want. But like I said, it's great for running, a work out or such activities. It comes with a pair of headphones and a year warrenty. It's very reliable, mine has never broke and is light and affordable.
