Advantages: small, lightweight, cheap
Disadvantages: none
The IPod 2GB Shuffle is a great MP3 player that is small, light and can hold a fair amount of tracks.
Adding tracks to the IPod is a fairly straightforward process. Simply plug it in using the supplied USB Cable and allow for it to be recognised and then start dragging and dropping tracks.
Earphones supplied are very efficient. According to most people, Apple seems to make rubbish earphones but the ones supplied with the shuffle are of very high quality. They have high base and great clarity. They are also very secure and comfortable in my ears.
In addition to synchronising with ITunes it can also synchronise with Winamp which is great for me since ITunes seems to be unstable on my computer.
The Shuffle has a simple clip mechanism which allows me to hook it on to most things.
The buttons on the shuffle are very clear and fully functional. There is a button which allows you to shuffle songs (hence the name) or simply play them in order.
The shuffle is highly durable as I've dropped it quite a few times and it is still able to play my music in great quality.
2GB isn't a large amount of space but it's a more than reasonable size for listening to a selected few of your favourite tracks. If you like to have your whole music library with you at all times look elsewhere, for everyone else, this is the product for you.
