I love this product. Its small, easy to use and looks great.
I bought one as I did have the ipod video but it was big and bulky i wanted something small to carry around easily, so i chose this.
The option to engrave it for free is a good idea (I had mine done).
This product is well worth buying if you have a music collection that you would tend to have on shuffle all the time as you dont get the option of choosing a particular song to listen to at any time. I think that is a good thing as you are not thinking for ages which song to chose and dont get distracted looking at a screen when you should be concentrating on other things. You can always skip a song you dont like anyway.
The clip on the back of the shuffle is great stays on to everything, I take mine to the gym and the clip never fails me.
Its well built, I have dropped mine an endless amount of times(as im so clumsy) it still works fine and only encounted minor scratches.
Really easy to add songs to it, just plug it in and click one button on itunes and it does it all for you.
Fast to charge up and the battery lasts forever so not much charging is needed anyway.
I got a small speaker to go with mine - especially for the ipod shuffle and it works fantastically with it.
Great sound quality.
It is expensive compared to others with the same memory however i think it is miles better, so what if it doesnt have a screen I no what most of te songs are i listen to anyway. The build quality, the sound quality are all amazing.
I wouldnt buy a macbook or an imac or anything else apple but the ipods are fantastic compared to all other mp3 players

Summary: a must if you dont like carrying heavy clumpy things around
