~Review~

I purchased my iPod shuffle 4 years ago now and it is still one of my favourite pieces of electronic equipment. To have something this small that still holds up to 500 songs amazes me to this day! It was originally more of a novelty purchase at the time but has become something I use on a regular basis. For jogging, the gym or just walking about it fits on any of your clothing discretely and is so light you will forget it's there.

To download songs onto your shuffle you have to have installed iTunes on your computer and then connect your iPod to the computer. From there it is relatively simple to sync it and transfer your music. Through iTunes you can also purchase more songs and quickly transfer them over. However songs bought this way can only be used on Apple's mp3 players.

The battery life has reduced but is still pretty good, about 8 hours and it only takes about 4 hours to fully recharge. As this iPod doesn't have a USB socket it has to be charged in the dock that comes with the shuffle. This is not a problem and in my opinion it looks good as well.

Due to the size the buttons are also pretty small and a bit fiddly. However this is something you get used to and is expected due to the miniscule size on the iPod shuffle. The sound through the headphones is not amazing and won't win any awards but is perfectly acceptable.

There really isn't much more to say about this. The design is simple, the device is simple and the controls are simple. However the simplicity is the key to it's success.
