Disadvantages: headphones subpar

The Apple Ipod shuffle is an excellent mp3 player because of its incredible small size and ease of use through the Itunes software. Before purchasing the device, I was using my Iphone as my default music player. It makes a great player but when your jogging or doing any kind of motion with a lot of movement, it can be too bulky and uncomfortable.

I have dropped my Iphone 3 times while exercising and if it weren't for my protective soft case, the phone would have easily shattered. With soo many close calls I decided that it was finally time to find a replacement and just use my Iphone strictly as a phone.

I decided to go with the Ipod shuffle (4th gen) 2 gig model. The main reason was because of its tiny size. With a device this small I no longer had to worry about finding a spot to secure it on my body while exercising and if it did drop, it would probably still remain intact due to its tough aluminum design.

Another big reason was because of the simplicity of the Itunes software. Since both products use the same software to transfer audio, I wouldn't have to learn how to use a new program and I could also keep my old playlists.

The device only cost me 35 euros and with the available 2 gigabyte space that it came with, I was able to fit around 500 of my favorite audio tracks. The battery life doesn't dissapoint either, Apple says that on a single charge it can last an upward of 15 hours. Combine all these cool technical specs and features and you have the perfect mp3 player in my opinion.

PROS
+ High quality design (aluminum) and 5 awesome colors to choose from.
+ Incredibly small (making it great for joggers or bicyclists like myself)
+ VoiceOver feature tells you the artist to the song that you are currently playing
+ Internationally friendly (can be programmed to speak in 25 different languages)
+ Great sound quality (Compared to the Iphone, the shuffle sounds much more crisp and detailed)

NEGATIVES
- Like in the past the included headphones are average at best (Please upgrade, and when you do you will notice how much better in sounds, trust me :}

Summary: The Ipod shuffle is a great mp3 player for people on the go
