"The Most Fun iPod Ever" (Apple iPod touch 16 GB)
Member Name: JGBarefoot
Advantages: Intuitive touch screen, myriad of applications, internet browsing Disadvantages: Lack of physical buttons, limited 16GB flash memory I've had the first generation iPod Touch for nearly a year now and it has been one of the best gadgets I've bought. It couples a revolutionary design first seen on the iPhone - perfectly utilizing a touch screen for the first time on a handheld device - and Apple's always popular iPod ease-of-use. The fact that and mp3 player can be used to browse the internet is genius, for the first few weeks I couldn't stop using it for exactly that around the house, and the high resolution screen is great for viewing photos and videos. Apple's App Store has also fully realised the potential of this device, giving you google maps, dictionaries, games, unit converters and just about anything you can think of that could be useful on a handheld device, all supplied by a community of 3rd party developers, often for free. The only setbacks of this device are the lack on physical volume controls, if you wish to adjust the volume on the go you have to delve into your pocket and unlock the iPod to do so, but this downside has been reprimanded with release of the second generation iPod Touch, which I highly recommend buying. I merely reviewed this generation because that's the one I own =) This will be the best iPod you ever buy. JB Summary: Undoubtedly a revolutionary mp3 player
