Now this was my first ever Ipod, before i owned a sony mp3 player and loved it until it was destroyed in an accident. To be honest i did get the ipod touch as a Gimick. Even though i thought at first that it was ridiculosuly expensive for its capacity i thought the touch screen capability would be fun, and after owning this for nearly a year it was worth all the money!

After using it for a few days it became second nature scrolling through music, using the touch screen and cover search and anytime i had to use a friends ipod or non-touch screen mp3 player it was fiddly. Some of the apps are good fun but you have to be prepared to pay for some of the best apps but even then its only a few pence per app.

The only disadvantage i have encountered so far is an issue with dead pixels at the bottom of the screen but after taking a quick trip to an apple store they quickly replaced free of charge. The second one had the same issue for a time but since dissapeared and judging from searches on technology forums this occurence is very rare and has been erradicated on the second generation.

So in general i would say any itouch is worth the money and you will definately notice the difference!!
