I have now had the touch for 1 year. I have found that though it has a few negatives, there are few comparable MP£ players on teh market. I use mine primarily for music and the odd video. THe music quality is good, not equal to the Sony, but not far off. I did not lke the ipod headphones and since have bought myself a pair of Seinheisser headphones which greatly improve the quality of listening. The one factor that some people disagree with, but i find a key reason for the stregnth of teh i pod is I tunes. With such a large library of music at your finger tips and the simplicity of transfering music or video's, I think that I Tunes is one of the best bits of software on the market. As for the screen, apple have nailed the responsiveness of the touch and to watch video, the screen is amply big enough. However, I would recomend that you get a case for the Ipod my screen has cracked making ceratin parts of it unresposive. The cost of repairing this is 100£ which is somehting you want to avoid!

Overall I would recomend the touch above its counterparts due to its simplicity and add ons such as apps and video.
