I bought the Apple iPod touch recently from Amazon for £207 and I think it is great. I bought the 16gb version after having an iPod Video for the past couple of years.

I found it very easy to work out how to use it. The iPod itself looks great but the silver shiny back gets scratched very easily so it is probably best to buy a case to go with it.

It has a 3.5 inch touch screen which is great to use. It has a built in speaker which sounds good and the volume control button is on the side of the iPod.

The applications it comes with and icons on the home screen are: safari web browser, calendar, mail, contacts, youtube, stocks, maps, weather, clock, calculator, notes and settings. You can place the icons where you want either on a home screen or another page.

iTunes has to be used to put songs, apps, games and videos on to it which I find annoying but still it is not a bad piece of software.

When you put your music on it by syncing it with the iTunes library is very easy to scroll through the songs and you can search by song name, artist or scroll through album covers.

It is great to view photos on and you can see them all as thumbnails or scroll through them one by one.

There are lots of fun application available for the iPod both free ones and ones that you have to pay for. I have only used the free ones so far and they are great. There are fun games e.g. mazes, fishing and racing and useful applications such as a spirit level and compass.

You can access the app store and iTunes store directly from your iPod if you are connected to the internet.

It is great because this iPod has wifi and I find it fairly easy to view web pages on because the screen is a lot bigger than on my other portable devices. You can easily zoom in and out of pages.

This iPod is slim and so it is easy to carry around but also a fair bit bigger in size than an iPod shuffle/nano.

I am really pleased that I bought this and I am still discovering new things about it.
